so i’m watching revolutionary road for the millionth time and i just noticed something.

kate winslet’s charcater april finds out she’s pregnant  and a couple of scenes later she is drinking a martini. now, april is a vindictive bitch that doesn’t care about anything but herself so i would doubt if the martini was deliberate or just a careless mistake on the director’s part.

It wasn’t a mistake on the directors part, and it wasn’t a deliberate mistake on April’s part. The movie was set in like 1955. And back then, doctors told pregnant women to occasionally smoke or drink to help them relax during the first trimester. 

Look at us. We’re just like everyone else. We’ve bought into the same, ridiculous delusion.
